Basem has been practising law for over a decade, giving him a firm understanding of the dynamics of the legal industry, the local community and the broader legal market.
Prior to joining BAL, Basem gained broad and diverse experience and insights acting in various civil disputes and litigation at law firms of all sizes, including boutique and national law firms. This equips him to service clients with the unique knowledge of the intricacies and complexities which can arise in different legal matters.

Basem has a strong background in commercial and personal injury dispute resolution and litigation. He also has experience in defamation, discrimination, employment, and estate litigation.
Basem is admitted as a solicitor of the ACT Supreme Court and has been entered to the High Court of Australia roll of practitioners. He has also completed the General Advocacy Skills Workshop with the Australian Advocacy Institute.
