Tomas (Tom) has deep experience in planning, environment and local government law, having worked with private clients and local government councils on the full spectrum of planning, environment and local government matters.

Prior to joining BAL Lawyers, Tom worked as an in-house government solicitor, giving advice on a range of matters spanning employment law, information law and regulatory and compliance law. This experience enables Tom to spot otherwise unforeseen issues that can crop up from time to time in planning and environment matters.

In addition to working across these different areas of law, Tom worked at the Land and Environment Court, giving him unique insight into the workings of the Court.

An avid outdoorsman with a deep respect for the natural environment, Tom’s love of nature permeates his work in planning and environment law.  He cares deeply that good outcomes are reached for his clients, believing strongly that close collaboration, good communication and creative thinking are all essential ingredients to solving any problem that a client may face, no matter how complex.

Tom graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with Honors and was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in April 2015. He joined BAL in November 2020.
