Joshua’s principle areas of focus are licensing, corporate governance, business acquisitions and disposals, and contractual drafting and disputes. Joshua has helped numerous clients establish new businesses including preparing the ownership documents, employee agreements and user terms and conditions, and has prepared various trust documents particularly for use by SMSFs. Joshua has assisted on sale of business matters involving the sale of both commercial and residential real estate.
Joshua is also skilled in residential real estate and development law, helping his clients navigate the ACT’s leasehold system of land ownership. He works closely with our developer clients and has gained experience in acting on a range of developments from boutique residential sites through to large mixed use developments. Joshua was admitted in October 2019 by the ACT Supreme Court, having received a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University and is an Accredited Professional of the Australian Computer Society.
Joshua graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce, with a major in Business Information Systems, joining BAL as a Law Graduate in May 2019. Prior to this, Joshua was part of a small Melbourne based firm, focusing on providing legal advice to up and coming tech start-ups.
