As a Director in the Planning, Environment and Local Government team, Alice provides skilled and professional advice and representation for her clients on a wide range of planning and environmental law matters. She regularly assists and advises on the interpretation and application of legislation and statutory instruments, including State and Local environmental planning instruments. Alice is a practical problem solver who works in partnership with her clients to deliver ‘on ground’ results. She enjoys providing strategic advice on how best to achieve her client’s goals, and is experienced in alternative dispute resolution and court litigation.
Alice is a diligent and passionate lawyer with strong personal ties to the environment around the ACT and NSW. She understands the objectives, needs and concerns of local government and works closely with her clients to ensure their concerns are heard and understood.
Alice holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University, from which she graduated in 2009. She subsequently gained a Master of Laws in Environmental Law. Alice joined the team at BAL in 2011 after gaining some early experience at a large national firm providing procurement, probity and contracting advice to Commonwealth and State Governments. Alice was promoted to Director in July 2020.
