Richard practises in real estate and commercial law, with a particular emphasis on the purchase and sale of property in the ACT and NSW, property development, commercial arrangements and property tax related issues. Richard also has an extensive knowledge and regularly advises on leasing arrangements acting for both landlords and potential tenants.

Richard’s past experience in tax law is uniquely complementary to his work as a real estate and commercial lawyer. In this role Richard specialises in providing relatable advice on property transactions (including the GST implications), superannuation, the transfer of properties as a result of marriage breakdown and the subsequent capital gains tax implications.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canberra and a Masters of Taxation from the University of New South Wales. Richard joined Bradley Allen Love Lawyers in October 2018. Prior to this he spent several years with the Australian Taxation Office and Department of Treasury as a tax policy analyst developing legislation in fields such as superannuation, the GST and Foreign Investment and Trade. Following this, Richard has worked as a real estate and commercial lawyer with various prominent private law firms in Canberra. Richard was admitted to practice in the Australian Capital Territory in 2013.
