Health & Wellbeing

We are fiercely proud of being a law firm that practises what it preaches in providing a balanced lifestyle for its employees. From Yoga to Boot Camp, nutrition seminars to massages, our office health and wellbeing program isn’t just about physical fitness, it’s about balancing a high pressure work environment with education and an appropriate physical release to assist the mental health of our staff. The focus is not on working until you burn out but ensuring you take the time to enjoy your work environment, and to maximise your performance by maintaining your health and fitness.

We foster an environment that would lead to more staff interaction, rather than just making small talk around the water cooler. Now, we have a diverse group of staff participating in our fitness programs, from Legal Directors to Office Clerks. We believe this group-orientated, entry-level staff approach to workplace health and wellbeing is a real point of differentiation for the firm; there is no hierarchy with exercise and this translates back into our workplace.

Work life balance is becoming increasingly important in our fast paced world, and getting off the clock as a team is something that we emphasise. We endeavour to provide a healthy workplace and an appropriate work/life balance and understand its value for both employees and firm as a whole. To do this, we have put into practice a number of initiatives in our workplace for a healthy work/life balance:

  • BAL Bootcamp
  • BAL Walking Group
  • Fruit Bowl
  • BAL Yoga
  • Sweatworking®
  • 20 Minute Health Checks
  • Corporate Massage
  • Flu vaccinations
  • Mental Health Training
  • Law Society Soccer Competition
  • Nutrition Seminars
  • Running Group
  • Movie Nights
  • Trivia Nights

Due to our commitment to providing a healthier workplace, Healthier Work ACT have awarded us with a gold certificate of recognition for our commitment to a 12 month health and wellbeing program.
